ADHD
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can impact far more than attention or focus. Many children, teens, and adults with ADHD struggle with organization, time management, emotional regulation, impulsivity, motivation, task completion, and maintaining consistency in daily responsibilities. ADHD can affect school performance, work productivity, relationships, self-esteem, and overall stress levels. Individuals with ADHD are often described as intelligent and capable, yet may feel frustrated by difficulty following through, staying organized, or managing competing demands. Over time, repeated struggles can contribute to anxiety, shame, conflict within relationships, and feelings of inadequacy.
At Assessing Alternatives Counseling, we provide supportive and individualized therapy for children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD. Our therapists help clients better understand how ADHD impacts their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while building practical strategies for everyday functioning. Treatment may focus on emotional regulation, executive functioning skills, coping strategies, communication, self-esteem, behavioral supports, and family dynamics. We work collaboratively to help clients recognize their strengths, reduce overwhelm, and develop systems that support long-term success both personally and professionally.
